What is a Disclaimer?
A Disclaimer is important to limit your legal liability when, for example, someone relies on information on your site and claims damage as a result of that reliance. Our instantly downloadable, fill-in-the-blank Disclaimer also ensures that you are complying with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requirements.

Who drafts the legal templates?
All legal templates are drafted by attorney Erika Kullberg, who is licensed to practice in California. Erika received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and her Juris Doctor from Georgetown Law. She is a member of the California Bar and American Bar Association, founded the Georgetown Law Entrepreneurship Club, and spent years working as a corporate lawyer at one of the top law firms in the world. All legal templates are also peer-reviewed by attorneys from Harvard Law.
Do the legal templates work in every state?
Yes, the legal templates are specifically drafted to work in all states. When you customize your legal template, if applicable, there will be a section where you can insert your state of incorporation or principal place of business, as shown in the example below. Please review our disclaimer, however, and note that no attorney-client relationship is formed by purchasing a legal template. We recommend you consult an attorney in your specific state if you want to ensure complete compliance with your state-specific laws.
Why should I purchase a legal template?
Erika Kullberg spent years working as a corporate lawyer at one of the top law firms in the world, so the legal templates are intentionally designed to provide you law firm quality without the law firm prices. The legal templates are priced so that you’re paying less than 10% of what you would pay for an attorney at a top law firm to custom-draft the contract for you.
How do I modify the legal template?
Your legal template will come with instructions for how to customize certain provisions to fit your business. We have made it extremely simple to customize the legal template for your needs using color-coded instructions. It should take you no more than 15 minutes to customize the legal template.
Can I share the legal template with friends?
No. By purchasing a legal template, you are entitled to download the contract template once, and will receive one license to use the legal template. Unfortunately, you may not share the legal template with anyone else.
How will I receive the legal template?
After purchasing, the legal template will be delivered immediately in PDF and Word formats to be used “as is”. You will also receive color-coded instructions to walk you through any sections you need to customize specifically for your business.
