Plug and Law is not a law firm. None of the information on this website constitutes or is intended to constitute legal advice. General information about the law is distinctly different from advice about how the law would apply to your specific scenario or situation.
Plug and Law’s customer service representatives aim to provide helpful answers to our valued customers; however, due to these restrictions, they are unable to answer questions about how the law would apply to your specific scenario or situation. If you need legal advice about your specific scenario or situation, please contact an attorney in your area.

A Privacy Policy is required by law and informs website visitors about how you are collecting and using their data.
The key points to understand about a Privacy Policy are that:
- If you have a website, you need a Privacy Policy
- It’s legally required
- It can come with hefty fines if you don’t have one
- It must comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- It must comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
- It must comply with other regulations and laws
- It must specify how you are collecting and using data, among other things
Our comprehensive, lawyer-crafted Privacy Policy template included in the Legal Bundle can be applied to ANY online business or site. You might also find our articles “Why Privacy Policies Are Required By Law” and “How to Legally Protect Your Website” helpful for further information, and please feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can help you with. Terms & Conditions are the rules of your website.
You need to have Terms & Conditions on your website. Our comprehensive, lawyer-crafted Terms & Conditions cover all of the critical points, such as:
- How your website can be used
- What your intellectual property rights are
- The correct legalese to prevent copyright infringement (This is essential! People will try to steal your content!)
- How legal disputes arising out of use of your website or any of the products you offer will be resolved
- Limiting your legal liability (key to minimizing your liability in the event of a lawsuit or legal dispute)
Not having Terms & Conditions could have a huge impact on your entire business since it opens you up to legal liability.
Our Terms & Conditions template included in the Legal Bundle can be applied to any online business and work internationally.

A disclaimer limits your legal liability, including with regard to the content you publish on your website.
It also ensures you are in compliance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations. Otherwise, if you’re found in violation of the FTC Act, you could be forced to give up any money you received in connection with your violation.
If you have a blog, it’s also very important to have a disclaimer when you’re providing information on your website (that people could be relying on).

Absolutely! You are most welcome to manually change the Legal Bundle templates however you’d like. As we are not a law firm, we are not able to provide legal advice about specific situations. However, some of our customers who require more customization will use our Legal Bundle templates as a starting point and work with an attorney to further customize them to their specific situation.

We have created the templates with major privacy laws in mind, such as the GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), CCPA (US) and the Privacy Act (Australia), and have customers all around the world. For the majority of people, the templates will work just fine — but of course, if you are looking for a lawyer to draft them specifically for your business, we recommend finding a local lawyer.
